Mind your own beeswax!



Beeswax is my favorite hack for easier threading of the tapestry needle. No fighting with stray plies or fuzzies escaping the eye. Firmly swipe the tail tips over a block of beeswax and magically they are flat and smooth!
Place about 1"(2.5 cm) of your tail against a corner of the beeswax, hold down with your thumb and pull. It may take a couple of passes to coat completely.
Yes, I sew in my tails AFTER blocking... especially on projects with a hard block. In the as-knit state it can be difficult to judge the amount of slack I need to leave. I find doing them afterward prevents scrunching up of any too tightly 'woven in' spots.
